This map reflects policies as of 1 January 2024 in 145 countries covered by the Index. The maps are based on the Labour Rights Index 2024, produced by the WageIndicator Foundation and the Centre for Labour Research (WageIndicator Labour Law office). The indicator score ranges between 0 to 100, where 100 indicates the highest possible score.

The “Safe Work” indicator measures labour legislation on the following sub-indicators:

  1. Free Personal Protective Equipment
  2. Training- Occupational Safety and Health
  3. Restrictions on Work (for Pregnant or NursingWomen)
  4. Employment Injury Benefits
